🌟 WHY? 🌟
This Eye Contact Social Experiment is a public participatory experiential event aimed to bring people together to experience a shared sense of humanity beyond the limits of race, religion and background. Through this simple experiment, we intend to spark fresh meaningful conversations among strangers, lovers, friends and family.
This will be the first event in Kuala Lumpur since the Covid-19 pandemic struck the world. With the rise of social isolation and loneliness in these times, we hope to offer a platform for authentic connection in the community.

💫 BENEFITS OF EYE GAZING 💫
Eye gazing is scientifically proven to generate sensations of kindness and compassion towards the other person. The fact of truly being seen releases chemicals that gives you an instant feeling of well being. There is no need of touching, the mask creates the perfect focus: let your eyes speak. Truly connected there is no sorrow or hate, only kindness and compassion.

2. ON THE EVENT DAY
We will have clear signs that say “Where has the human connection gone? Share 2 minutes of eye contact to find out and rebuild human connection…” (Watch the video pinned to the top of this page to see how it happened in the past).
Sit down on chairs and share eye contact with your loved ones or invite members of the public to share a moment of eye contact with you.
Allow yourself to be seen & calmly look into the eyes of the other person in front of you. When you create a safe environment of acceptance and love, the other can feel connected too.

We will meet on Saturday the 12th of February at 5pm at The Square, stage area of Publika Shopping Gallery.

You get to co-create the opportunity for your local citizens to experience the joy of sharing eye contact in public. The reason we create the event in public is to send a message to ourselves and others that it feels great to appreciate one another. It encourages people to slow down and care for one another more. We also create this in public so that strangers who otherwise would never find out or think about participating in an experience like this have the opportunity to change their mind and be a part of the magic.
